On Oct. 2, 2020, the IRS announced it will again extend the Jan. 31 deadline for furnishing Forms 1095-B, Health Coverage, and 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage, as it has done for the past four years. The notice also provides that the IRS will not impose a penalty under section 6722 for failures to furnish a Form 1095-B to recipients if certain requirements are met. Please see Notice 2020-76 for further reference. This is an automatic extension.

The extended deadline is applicable to insurers, self-insuring employers, applicable large employers, and certain other providers of minimum essential coverage.
 
The Information Return Dates Are:
ACA Requirement Deadline
Delivery to employees March 2
Paper filing with IRS February 28
Electonic filing with IRS March 31
